I am about to watch Murphy's War,a great little movie about a stubborn Irishman taking on a U Boat by himself...

So it got me thinking about onscreen mistakes in w.w.2. movies-be they for whatever reason,i will kick off with two.

1.Ice cold in alex,in a shot towards the end.We see a rear view as we are driving through Alexandria and if you look at the parked vehicles you can see a series 1 LandRover-they did not come out till 1948...

2.In a movie about the L.R.D.G. ( may have been called Tobruk.. not sure ) starred Rock Hudson, and the usual british suspects Cool
The l.r.d.g. were attacked by "german" tanks which were in fact M41 Walker Bulldog's

Your go,

Nigel.

Hi

I was watching a film called The Commandos about commandos in the desert ???????? They were being chased by a German Tank that was infact an M24 Chaffee and a commando using the american Grease Gun?

Mind you it was a low budget film on 'Movies4Men'

Movies 4 men,who provides that? as i have not seen it...

One w.w.2. movie i realy do like is The Dirty Dozen, always liked it.Then in 1987 i was working with an old school friend in England and he mentioned that John (sterland) our driver done some B.B.C.Work ect and was in the dirty dozen-So i told Brian where to go...

So.. If you see the exersise scene, where they call an ambulance, look for the officer that they tie to a tree an officer...
That is John S. easy to spot-look for big ears..

You would be surprised at who i know...
